Highland Mill Landing is a veteran-owned and operated family farm in Dunn, North Carolina, built on faith, hard work, and a love for the land.

What began with a desire to provide for our own family has grown into something bigger: a farm where we can raise food, grow herbs, create handcrafted products, and share the things we make with our community.

Our Story

For our family, the journey toward growing our own food and making our own products is personal.

We have family members who live with food allergies and Alpha-Gal Syndrome, including sensitivities to corn, fish, and shellfish. Finding products that meet our family’s needs can be challenging. Ingredients, feed sources, and manufacturing practices matter, and the search for products we feel comfortable bringing into our home has shaped the way we approach our farm.

Rather than relying entirely on what is available elsewhere, we began taking a more hands-on approach. We wanted greater control over the food we raise, the ingredients we choose, and the products we make for our own household.

That desire became part of the foundation of Highland Mill Landing.

Our goal is to offer our community products made with the same thoughtfulness and care that guide the choices we make for our own family. We believe people should be able to learn about what goes into the products they buy and where those products come from.

Service, commitment, and hard work are important parts of our story. As a veteran-owned and operated business, we bring those values into the work of building our farm.

Farming teaches patience, resourcefulness, and responsibility. From caring for our animals and tending our gardens to making products in small batches, we believe that doing things well matters more than taking shortcuts.

We’re building Highland Mill Landing with a long-term vision: a place where our family can work the land, develop useful skills, produce goods with purpose, and share the results of that work with others.

We’re proud to call Dunn, North Carolina, home. Highland Mill Landing is growing right here in our local community, with a focus on farm products, practical goods, and the traditions of making and growing things ourselves.

Our farm brings together several of our interests, including poultry, garden-grown herbs, handcrafted herbal products, wooden cutting boards, custom engraving, and other useful goods for everyday life.

Some things are raised or grown on our farm, while others are handcrafted or selected for our shop. We aim to be clear about what we offer and how each product is made.

Our poultry is fed a custom ration formulated without corn ingredients or animal by-products. We also take care in choosing ingredients and materials for the products we make.
